Sometimes people ask me what’s the secret to good marketing?

My answer surprises them: There isn’t one.

There is no secret.

There is no magic bullet.

There is no overnight success in marketing.

There is only effort, persistence, and doing the right things repeatedly, over an extended period of time.

In fact, this is the formula, isn’t it?

Understand the right efforts (and this blog has more than 350 articles on the right efforts; my book, Evangelist Marketing has 288 pages of them), and then execute them relentlessly.

Consistent execution of the right efforts. Focus. Repetition. No shortcuts. It’s isn’t glamorous. Sometimes it isn’t fun. But it’s damn effective.

That is the magic bullet to successful marketing.
