The best marketing is simple marketing.

This means:

  • Simplify your product or service. That is, determine its top two or three value points to customers and talk mostly about those. How do you determine them? Ask your customers.
  • Simplify your language:
    • Use simpler words.
    • Use simpler words.
    • Avoid technology, or process. Focus only on value.
  • Simplify the platforms from which you communicate your language.
  • Simplify (while increasing) your customer interactions.
  • Simplify your marketing workflow:
    • Less meetings.
    • Less wondering (and wandering).
    • More execution.

Once you simplify things, do it again. And again. And another round.

Simplify until you can’t simplify any more.

That’s simplifying to the void.
