It’s impossible to overstate the magnitute of the loss of Steve Jobs. If you need proof, drive to any Apple store in America and you’ll see people mourning as though a president has passed. I’ve been thinking and writing about what made Jobs so great, and I think it boils down to this singular combination of traits:
He had an unparalleled instinct about what people would love.
He had the technical ability to see his ideas through until they became products.
He had the certitude and self-confidence to fight for his vision and push those around him until they got it right.
He had the charisma and passion to market his creations better than any executive in any business on the planet.
May he rest in peace, and even in death, may we continue to learn from him.
