When I was in Napa Valley a couple of weeks ago, there was great drought.
Hills and vineyards that were supposed to be green were brown, yellow and dusty.
We toured a number of small, family-owned wineries. Some were panicked. Some said they wouldn’t harvest any grapes at all this year, so as not to stress the vines in such dry conditions.
Guess what happened this week in Northern California?
Rain.
Yesterday.
Today.
Tomorrow.
As much as 3 inches is expected to fall.
A second big rain is coming mid-week, and still more over the weekend.
Relief came.
Relief usually comes.
If you’re in a slump while doing the right things, keep doing the right things.
If you’re marketing your value, and people aren’t buying, keep marketing. Keep communicating. Keep telling people how they’ll improve if they buy from you.
Keep working. Keep trying. Don’t take days off. Don’t let the vines rest. The rains will come.
Relief will come.
It usually does.
