What do special and singular products have in common?
They all share certain characteristics.
Singular products are the iPhone, the iPad and the Kindle — these devices make up one percent of all products.
Special products are nine percent of all devices. These are Android devices, the Nintendo Wii, and the Google search engine.
The other category, making up 90 percent of all products, is Commodities. When you sell commodities, all you have to compete on is price.
After studying the characteristics of singular products, the one percent, I’ve developed the following visual to lay it out. Read it from the bottom-up. Details on each characteristic will be posted tomorrow.
