From start-ups to Fortune 500s, overanalysis forms the foundation on which the greatest obstacles to good marketing are built.

Last week, I worked closely with three clients, and created proposals for projects for another six. Each of them were slowed by overanalysis. In my experience, here are the ingredients that lead to overanalysis:

  • Fear: Of failure, mistakes, and the unknown.
  • Striving for unattainable perfection.
  • Seeking too many opinions.
  • Not knowing exactly what to do.

Let me help you end this analysis and paralysis: It doesn’t matter what marketing you execute, as long as you are letting buyers know how you can help them. There is no “perfect” marketing. As long as more people know about your products or services today than yesterday, that’s more than good enough.

It’s July 1. Precisely half of the calendar year remains. What marketing action will you take?
