One of the key issues that came up at last week’s Marketing Summit was the physics of regularly taking small actions that communicate your value to the world. The idea is to execute marketing action daily — even if it’s only for a few minutes — because an object in motion remains in motion. Momentum is a huge factor in marketing. Action begets action. If you market regularly, the quality of your marketing improves. You look forward to taking the daily action — because it’s likely generating results. Your organization is growing. So is your confidence. Only good things happen when you are consistent.

Conversely, if you’re at a stopped position, it is very difficult, and sometimes impossible, to start marketing. Some of the largest companies in the world have fallen prey to these marketing physics — think Palm and Research in Motion.

Why fight physics? Leverage it.
