Last Friday’s video on making it look easy generated more than a dozen responses from people. I rarely connect these written newsletters to the videos I put out, but will do so this week. 

 Last night I went to my seven-year-old daughter’s ballet recital, which included dancers of all ages, up through 18-year-olds. 

 The best dancers looked at their audience, and smiled. They connected. Sure, they were working hard, but they were making it look easy. Graceful. Breezy. They were, literally, light on their feet. 

 Customers are drawn to people who make it look easy. 

 Conversely, we are turned off — repelled, actually — when our partners, suppliers, dancers, and waiters and waitresses are working hard, 

 Are you making it look easy? Or are people experiencing how hard you’re working? 

 Practically, it looks easy if you’re enjoying yourself. If you’re having fun, your customers and prospects also have fun. If you hate the work, it’s incredibly difficult to make it appear as though you love it. 

 The good news is, there are many ways to sell and market. There are many ways to personally communicate. Implement the techniques you enjoy the most. 

 And make it look easy.

 Connect with your audience.

 Be graceful.

 People pay good money for that.
