Last week I conducted a pair of workshops for business owners, and when I brought up a technique that works wonders for my clients — sending hand-written notes — I received the following questions from the audience:
“Should the envelope be hand-written?”
“Should I use my last name?”
“Do you include a business card?”
“What do I write?”
“Should I send them to customers and prospects?”
There were more. Maybe a dozen total questions…about one of the simplest, most straight-forward revenue growth techniques there is.
Remember, revenue growth is simple. We over-complicate it.
Just as you help people with your products and services, help them in your marketing. Send value. Send something helpful. A testimonial communicated is helpful. A good newsletter is helpful. A hand-written note will make you singularly memorable, since yours will perhaps be the only one to come in that year!
It’s easy to stand out from the crowd. It’s easy to grow revenue.
Stop complexifying it.
