On Saturday, my dad and I drove to Wrigley Field. Three days after the Cubs won a historic and amazing World Series, there were thousands of joyful people walking around, just soaking it in.

I’m a life long die hard Cubs fan. To me the Cubs are about faith, perseverance, hope, dreams, love, my dad, my son and daughter. My dad took me to Wrigley first when I was four years old, and my kids first went when they were three.

The Cubs are also much of what I feel is important in life and business: not giving up, always believing, fighting through adversity, trying again and again no matter how bleak things get. Even when you are down three games to one, on the brink of elimination, you only need to win three in a row, which you’ve done before many times.

Even when the customer has told you “no” repeatedly, try again. They deserve that effort from you, and so does your family. Focus on today only, on this moment, right here, and find the perseverance to do what needs to be done.

The Cubs winning for the first time in 108 years has been amazing beyond anything I’ve ever imagined. These last few days have been full of emotion, disbelief, relief, and most of all, joy.
