My friends, the calendar has turned once again, and the year has entered the fourth quarter. We have 13 weeks this year.
The ultimate outcome of most games, and most years, is determined in the fourth quarter.
Have a strong one, and you’ll exceed plan. You’ll make more money for your company and your family than you expected.
But if you have a light one, or start to take your foot off the gas with the finish line coming into view, you will not close the sales you otherwise would. You might just make plan, or worse, you may well come up short.
Good news is, it’s up to you.
It is entirely and completely within your control.
Will you increase your communications to customers and prospects? Starting today?! Because that is the only thing we need to do to sell more. Communicate more with people who can pay you. That’s it. Call them some more. Tell them what else they can buy from you. Ask them for the business. Ask them the reverse did you know question. Ask them for referrals. Do the work your competition is not doing!
Or, will you do the opposite? Maybe keep it in cruise control, and coast? Or worse, ease up off the gas. Will you say to yourself, “I’ve had a good year already, I’m good.”
I know how I’m going to close the year. There are a lot of people, and a lot of companies, who need my help. I’m going to work like crazy to help them. They deserve that effort from me. My family deserves it. I owe it to them.
Your customers and prospects deserve it from you too. Your family deserves it. You owe it to them.
It’s your choice.
