But I HATE getting all these newsletters.
These are two of the common lines of discomfort-resistance-fear-procrastination I hear when telling clients that as a part of my revenue growth program we will be emailing their list of customers and prospects weekly.

That’s right, every week.

But we only email every month or two. 

That’s enough for people to forget you. Mailing weekly is enough for people to actually remember you.

Here’s why you hate getting all those email newsletters:

They aren’t helpful. They’re pitchy. They’re selling you.

We send value.

We send useful information that will be helpful to your customers and prospects.

Examples: What are commodity prices doing? Why? How are construction starts? What about employee pay trends? What piece of research recently came out that would be useful to readers? What did a company in the industry do recently that’s groundbreaking and repeatable?

We send value.

And open rates are over 30% (dwarfing the standard 1-5% sales email open rates), and unsubscribe rates are infinitesimal, with many weeks at zero.

Remember, these are your customers and prospects. They know you. They value you. They appreciate you. And you will be sending them frequent value. Why would they unsubscribe from that?
