The best way to grow business is systematize revenue actions. Make it automatic, like the automated monthly deposit into your investment or savings account.

 For example:

 To collect referrals: If you send a customer survey, ask for referrals on it.

 To sell new products and services to existing customers: If you have delivery drivers, arm them with various did you know questions, on paper, to hand to the customer. If you don’t have drivers, just include an insert into every package. If you sell services, add a did you know question to every invoice.

 To stockpile testimonials: On the first three calls of the day, have your inside sales people ask this question (and write down the answers): What are some of your favorite things about working with us?

 Automate growth actions. The less we have to rely on consciously thinking about growing business, the more we actually grow business!
