The Minnesota Vikings won with a stunning last-second miracle pass last night against the New Orleans Saints in an NFL playoff game last night. It was one of the all-time great and wild endings in NFL history.
It’s a play that results in a touchdown less than 1% of the time.
But it worked last night.
The Minneapolis Miracle they’re calling it.
I don’t care who won the game. As a Bear fan, our season properly ended months ago because the team was so bad this year.
But I’m fascinated by what happened last night because I am a fan of sports, and comebacks, and perseverance.
Here are the sales lessons from last night.
The sale is always alive. There is no permanent no.
A no means not now. Not at this moment. So our job is to give customers another moment.
When you’ve already been rejected seven times, an eighth rejection is literally no worse. It’s the same. Eight rejections is exactly the same as seven. So who cares?
The Vikings had an array of passes fall incomplete before the winning play. Who cares how many times it didn’t work before it worked?
It doesn’t matter if two rejections or twenty precede the yes.
We only need one yes.
Get your yes.
Fight to the end.
Always fight to the end.
And get your yes.
