There have been conflicting reports indicating that Google is in late stage talks to buy Twitter, the short text messaging service at Twitter.com.  Google has already expanded into many areas with Google Docs, Google Voice, Google Earth, and Google Maps. They keep extending into many areas of our lives, and Google does it well.
