The best marketing is simple marketing.
This means:
- Simplify your product or service. That is, determine its top two or three value points to customers and talk mostly about those. How do you determine them? Ask your customers.
- Simplify your language:
- Use simpler words.
- Use simpler words.
- Avoid technology, or process. Focus only on value.
- Simplify the platforms from which you communicate your language.
- Simplify (while increasing) your customer interactions.
- Simplify your marketing workflow:
- Less meetings.
- Less wondering (and wandering).
- More execution.
Once you simplify things, do it again. And again. And another round.
Simplify until you can’t simplify any more.
That’s simplifying to the void.
