I often say that you can’t out-market your mindset.

That is, if you believe that you sell a product or provide a service, that is what you will market. Conversely, if you believe you are improving lives, increasing revenue, and spreading happiness, you will communicate exactly that. What you think is what you market.

But mindset affects far more than marketing. It affects the quality of your customer experience: are you an accountant or do you allow your clients to chase their dreams thanks to the money you save for them? Mindset affects your productivity: are you making a technology product or making people feel better? (I bet you’ll get more done if your mindset is more like the latter.)

Basically, you cannot out-perform your thinking. If you’re feeling stuck, or if you’d simply like to improve, look to your thoughts. A small shift often leads to big changes, and even bigger results.
